, a contract research company specialising in drug efficacy trials for immune diseases, has won the Growth Award at the Biomedical iNet Innovation Awards.

This is one of five awards presented by to support and celebrate innovation in the South West. KWS BioTest was launched in 2004 as a spin-out company from the University鈥檚 Department of Pathology and Microbiology, and retains as its Chief Scientific Officer. The Growth Award recognises the company鈥檚 increase in sales of over 90% in the last 12 months.  

KWS BioTest now goes forward to the National Awards, which will be judged in 2012.
