Bristol Is Open wins smart cities award 30 November 2016 Bristol Is Open won The Smart Cities Award at a prestigious ceremony last night [Tuesday 29 November]. The project, which is a joint venture between the University and Bristol City Council, was one of four nominees in the Smart Cities category at the World Communications Awards (WCA).

University wins strategic awards to support translational research 23 February 2016 The University of Bristol has won two awards from the Medical Research Council (MRC) to support translational research – work that turns fundamental scientific discoveries into improvements in human health and economic benefit. A total of £650,000 was awarded to the University to provide flexible funding for early stage translational projects, to enable the development of academic-industry collaborations, and allow impact development.

Research Fellow wins Hind Rattan Award 2020 7 January 2020 Dr Bramha Dutt Vishwakarma, Marie Curie Research Fellow in the School of Geographical Sciences, is to receive the Hind Rattan Award 2020 “for outstanding Services, Contributions and Achievements in the field of Environmental Science”.
