Messel magic comes to Bristol 16 July 2015 The personal archive of one of the twentieth century’s foremost theatrical designers, Oliver Messel (1904-1978) has been acquired by the University of Bristol Theatre Collection, thanks to a generous grant of £80,000 from the National Heritage Memorial Fund (NHMF). The NHMF grant was bolstered by generous support from alumni, friends, and charitable foundations to help meet the £100,000 purchase price.

Bristol engineers elected as Fellows of the Royal Academy of Engineering 30 September 2019 Professors Dimitra Simeonidou and Jonathan Cooper from the University of Bristol’s Faculty of Engineering have been elected as Fellows of the Royal Academy of Engineering in recognition of their outstanding and continuing contributions to the profession.
