  • Engineering student wins award for best composites paper 5 February 2015 Broderick Coburn, a PhD student ³Ô¹ÏÍø's EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Advanced Composites for Innovation and Science, has received the American Society of Composites Best Student Paper in Composites award.
  • National Composites Centre wins design award 26 May 2015 The University’s National Composites Centre (NCC) has won a prestigious award for innovative design.
  • Leading animal welfare scientist presented with top award 26 May 2015 One of the UK’s leading experts on animal behaviour has been presented with a prestigious award in recognition of his contribution to improving animal welfare. Mike Mendl, Professor of Animal Behaviour and Welfare at the University of Bristol, was awarded the RSPCA/BSAS Award for innovative developments in animal welfare last week [Wednesday 20 May].
  • Professor Memmott receives ecology award 23 June 2015 Jane Memmott, Professor of Ecology in the School of Biological Sciences, has received the 2015 Marsh Award for Ecology.
  • Vet School student wins international scholarship 13 August 2019 A third-year veterinary science student from the University of Bristol is one of ten students from around the world to have been awarded a prestigious Boehringer Ingelheim Scholarship.
  • University garden recognised as one of the world’s best green spaces 13 August 2019 For the fourth year running, a public garden at the University of Bristol has been recognised as one of the very best in the world by the Green Flag Award Scheme.
  • Vet School academic wins Farm Animal Welfare Award 14 April 2015 An academic from the University of Bristol's School of Veterinary Sciences is one of the winners of the 2015 Ceva Animal Welfare Awards. The awards commend and recognise volunteers, charity workers and veterinary professionals for their outstanding contribution to animal welfare around the world.
  • Duke of Kent presents Botanic Garden volunteers with Queen's Award 3 April 2019 Volunteers from the University of Bristol Botanic Garden were presented with the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS) at a ceremony held at the Garden yesterday [Tuesday 2 April]. The award - the MBE for volunteer groups - was awarded by HRH the Duke of Kent and the Lord Lieutenant of Bristol, Peaches Golding OBE, in recognition of the skill, dedication and enthusiasm of those who help to run and promote the work of the Garden.
