Top honour for Bristol business leader’s ‘outstanding contribution’ 23 November 2012 A leading business association has awarded Nick Sturge, the Director of Bristol SETsquared Centre, with a top accolade in recognition of his work to help start-up businesses in the city to grow. UK Business Incubation (UKBI) highlighted the work Nick does to support high-tech business ventures and boost the regional economy, honouring him with an Outstanding Contribution to Business Incubation award at its annual conference.

New study to investigate headshaking in horses 14 November 2012 Following a study that has found a pioneering new surgical procedure could be a viable option for headshaking in horses. An academic from the University of Bristol’s School of Veterinary Sciences has received a grant to investigate possible focal demyelination of the nerve as a cause of headshaking in horses.

Dr Brunstrom receives award for dietary behaviour research 13 July 2011 Dr Jeff Brunstom from the School of Experimental Psychology has been awarded the Society for the Study of Ingestive Behavior's 2011 Alan N Epstein Research Award for his work on dietary behaviour and food choice.

Faculty of Arts scoops four AHRC awards 20 May 2011 Four prestigious collaborative doctoral awards from the Arts and Humanities Research Council have been awarded to Bristol University’s Faculty of Arts.
