Professor Sir Philip Randle, 1926-2006 3 November 2006 Professor Sir Philip Randle founded the Department of Biochemistry ³Ô¹ÏÍø in 1964, building it up into one of the strongest in the UK both in research and teaching.

Vera Buret 1908-2006 27 October 2006 Vera Buret served as librarian at the Department of Music between 1964 and 1968, but her involvement in the life of the University and the city went much further.
