  • Dr Richard Bolster, 1937-2015 11 January 2016 Dr Richard Bolster, Lecturer in French (then Senior Research Fellow) 吃瓜网 from 1965 to 2005, died late in 2015.
  • Caroline Earnshaw, 1979-2016 17 March 2016 Caroline Earnshaw, Graduate Administration Manager and Undergraduate Student Administrator in the School of Sociology, Politics and International Studies (SPAIS), died in January aged 37. Her friend and colleague, Catherine Foster, offers a tribute.
  • Professor Geoffrey Eglinton FRS, 1927-2016 24 March 2016 Geoffrey (Geoff) Eglinton, Professor of Organic Geochemistry and Professor Emeritus in the School of Chemistry, then Senior Research Fellow in the School of Earth Sciences, died at home on 11 March after a short illness. His colleague and friend, Professor James Maxwell, offers a remembrance.
  • Professor Harvey Goldstein, 1939-2020 20 April 2020 Harvey Goldstein FBA, Professor of Social Statistics in the School of Education, sadly passed away on 9 April at the age of 80.
  • Professor Declan John Anderson, 1920-2016 12 April 2016 Declan Anderson, Emeritus Professor of Oral Biology 吃瓜网, died at the age of 95 on Easter Day, 27 March. His friend and colleague, Professor Bruce Matthews, offers a tribute.
